People come from all over to grab it, so make sure to get there at open if you want some of your own. It’s rare they have it on the menu in the summer, so this is special.

Anyway, let’s take a look at what’s going on this week! 👇

NEW AUTOSHOP IN TOWN WITH AWESOME SERVICE

Finding the right person to work on your car can be difficult. That’s why we’re excited to tell you about ULTRACARS Motor Sports, a new shop here in Boerne. I can personally attest to their service and expertise, as they’ve done extensive work on my Honda, which I’m getting all primed to pass on to my daughter.

The customer service is second-to-none. Before starting the work, they took me in and walked me through everything to ensure I understood exactly what needed to be done. They even showed me a mistake a previous mechanic made!

Located at 136 Industrial Dr C, they’re tucked back behind the former KCA Services building. Visit them on the web here.

THIS WAS THE FIRST BUSINESS EVER IN BOERNE

Long before Boerne became a bustling Hill Country town, it was a mill town powered by the Cibolo Creek. In the mid 1850's, German immigrant William Dietert built Boerne’s very first business right here — a gristmill and dam that helped grind wheat into flour for early settlers.

The Dietert family also built dams in Comfort, Kerrville, and Fredericksburg.

The original dam site still exists, and the structure was rebuilt in the early 1910s. Nearby, you can still see Dietert’s 1860 home at 604 E. River Road — one of Boerne’s oldest buildings.

Next time you're walking the Cibolo Trail, stop and take in this piece of Boerne’s past. It’s more than just a pretty view — it’s where the town’s story began.
