TEXAS HILL COUNTRY GAME FAIR COMES TO JOSHUA CREEK RANCH

A New Outdoor Event for the Whole Family

Mark your calendars — the first-ever Texas Hill Country Game Fair is happening June 20–21 at Joshua Creek Ranch! This brand-new event, presented by the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo in partnership with JCR, is packed with outdoor fun for the whole family.

Expect archery, fishing, shooting competitions, dog training demos, live music, a vendor village, and more — all set against the backdrop of one of Texas’ top sporting resorts. Friday’s kickoff event includes chef-prepared bites and a live auction, while Saturday brings hands-on activities, gear, food, and fun.

MOVIE IN THE PARK: POOL EDITION

Float, Splash, and Watch Hotel Transylvania 3

This Friday, June 13, Movie in the Park moves to the pool with a special screening of Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation at 106 City Park Rd!

Doors open at 7 pm, and the first 100 movie-goers get a free sandwich meal courtesy of Texas Hill Country BBQ — so come early.

Bring your swimsuits, towels, and floaties for this splash-tastic night under the stars.

NEW PURPLE HEART MONUMENT INSTALLED AT VETERANS PARK

A Purple Heart recipient monument has been installed at Veterans Plaza, a heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women wounded in combat. 💜

This project was made possible by the Purple Heart Project (PHP), headed up by Mark Sierra of Compadres Hill Country Cocina, and funded through generous contributions from the Boerne/Kendall County community and local businesses, not taxpayer dollars.

The city approved the project, and local businesses stepped up to help make it happen.

👏 Russell Rust of Double R Enterprise handled excavation
👏 Jake Bernhard of Bernhard Bros. Construction poured the slabs
👏 Both donated their services AND the concrete 🙌

The monument was created by Cornerstone Memorials (San Antonio) and the upcoming bench — expected later this month — is being built by Paul E. Allen Co. (Flower Mound) and will be installed by the city.

🗓️ Mark your calendars: The official dedication ceremony will be held August 7, National Purple Heart Day. More details to come.
